PAINTED PROTOTYPE - Stranger Things Will Byers for McFarlane Toys

In total I painted four Will Byers, not including the varients. I loved the sculpt of his face, which always makes painting the portrait much easier.
We tend to be limited by how much detail we can paint into the models, since these aren't stand-alone sculptures but rather something that will need to be reproduced at a factory scale. For boys and men, especially, we need to be careful with the lip colors and secondary skin tone, so they don't look too feminine in production. However, partly thanks to the beautiful sculpt, I think his portrait came out as close to perfect as you can get at this scale.
He wasn't the most complicated figure I've worked on, but he is by far one of my favorites.
