The variant version of Will Byers in the "Upside Down". From the show reference at first we went with a much more realistic skin tone, dulled down to make him look really sickly, but they came back right away and encouraged us to go full zombie-boy for a nice contrast to his non-variant form. They were definitely right - it's way better to see them next to each other with the drastic color change.
The only problem was that due to cost, we couldn't really change his outfit colors from the original. We were able to work in the green-gloss applied in a thick layer, which actually does a decent job considering it's a pretty small addition.
