This was another beautiful sculpt to work on, great for dry brushes and washes.
Getting the correct color combination was a fun project. The monster is heavily shadowed in the show, so at first I thought of going with a much darker palette. I was surprised to find the actual reference images to be very pale, with pinks and reds. I ended up going with a grey-green base, greyed-red wash, and a warm-grey dry-brush. I like the effect, it gives the monster a kind of sickly-pale look to it.
Painting the teeth was a challenge, and I had an unexpected problem with the mouth. I put a heavy gloss on the whole inside, but the red wash I used on the pink base had a weird reaction and turned neon green! I needed to repaint all the red, and carefully gloss it again.
