PAINTED RESIN PROTOTYPE - RWBY resin for McFarlane Toys / RoosterTeeth

I've got fond memories of this project, partly because everyone in paint department had a hand in working on it.
I was in charge of the Beowolf - the giant beast the girls are fighting. The style from RWBY is very anime, with 3D figures rendered in cell-shading. So I didn't go crazy with washes, keeping things clean with clear forms. We had some conflicting reference - most shots from the show have the fur in shades of grey, but there was one concept image where they used a beautiful teal color. With the ice battle going on, and especially against the red cloak, I'm really glad we chose to go with the teal instead of a dull grey.
I'm pleased with how it came out, and it sounds like fans of the show were happy with it as well, which is always a nice touch.
