Painted prototypes of Admiral Ackbar, milestone 1/6 scale statue, for Diamond Select Toys/Gentle Giant LTD.
One of my absolute favorite pieces I've done at Diamond. Ackbar was always a favorite Star Wars character of mine, both because of the cool design and the beloved nature of the character. I loved the challenge of recreating the mottled skin tones, and enjoyed creating the graphic details on the tablet from scratch.
This sculpt was also amazing to work on, a lot of care and attention went into it's creation and the sculptor nailed all the details and proportions.
I'm really happy with how it all turned out.

I really enjoyed making the design on the screen. I wasn't given any particular reference, so I created a graphic based on other visuals seen on Rebel screens.
