PAINTED TOY PROTOTYPE - McFarlane Toys Destiny Hunter Million Million

One of my favorite projects so far. When we got the Destiny line-up, I immediately called dibs on the Hunter Million shader. I loved the look of the cream fabric, gold armor, and purple/blue accessories.
Originally, the sword was intended for a different model that was later cancelled. When I found out it had been reassigned to this one, I actually jumped up and yelled, “Yes! I get to do the sword!”
Getting the right amount of hits was a bit of a challenge. Destiny has such beautiful character designs, it would be far too easy to go overboard on the details. There ended up being a lot of negotiations with my boss; exchanging a wash here for a dry brush there, a hit here instead of a hit there...
In the end, I think the figure turned out great, both as a prototype and in production.
